My Elite Daily Documentary is LIVE NOW!!

Hands down, one of the coolest things I've ever done in my illustration career, was film this documentary with the amazing crew over at Elite Daily. This came about through my third partnership during this past New York Fashion Week with Tumblr. Myself, along with 6 other fashion photographers/bloggers, were given press passes from Tumblr to Milk Studios and Lincoln Center to allow us to curate our own fashion week experiences. This meant we had nearly all access to every show that went on during the 8 days. That included the big production of Jeremy Scott's collection, with Kanye West sitting front row, and the beautiful Gigi Hadid opening and closing the show. Calvin Klein x Travel Write Draw Live Sketching FW15

My second major partnership this NYFW was with the incredible digital team over at Calvin Klein!! A few weeks before the season began, they reached out to me regarding creating illustrations from the F15 collection. The conversation quickly evolved into having me illustrate both live backstage and after the runway show to create 3 final pieces to be shared on their social accounts.

Getting the opportunity to not only attend, but also draw from the CK show, was an absolute dream come true. I got to speak with the Creative Director Francisco Costa regarding the inspiration behind the collection, and come face to face with the majesty of fashion herself, Miss Anna Wintour!! NYFW Street Style Sketches for Lucky Magazine!!

This past New York Fashion Week was by far my biggest season YET!! I had 3 major partnerships throughout the 8 days and I also managed to film a mini documentary (more on that later)!! My first major partnership was a collaboration with one of my favorite magazines on the planet, Lucky!! They asked me to illustrate the best of street style daily to be shared every 24 hours across their instagram. Rebecca Minkoff x Travel Write Draw "Love is in the Air"

Happy Tuesday Lovelies, 

I hope you are having a great start to your week!! I'm continuing to catch up with the backlog of posts here on Travel Write Draw from the crazy month of February. Next up is the amazing Valentine's Day Event I hosted with Rebecca Minkoff at her flagship Soho store. I illustrated nearly 30 portraits in 3 hrs for the hundreds of customers who came in that afternoon. It was such a joy to see how many people responded to the event, collection, and my drawings. I also adore meeting people who follow Travel Write Draw and seeing faces that I've already had the opportunity to meet, so special!!

The great news is I'll be doing something very similar to this soon so stay tuned!!

Postcard from Austin

Hi Lovelies,

I can't believe how long I've been away from my blog!! SO much has happened since January (including this very quick jaunt to Austin, Texas before New York Fashion Week) and I just wanted to share some of these colorful musings I snapped along the way. I was hosted by the beautiful and super talented Lexicon of Style who grew up in this awesome city. I got to meet her whole family and dive into some incredible local dishes, just feast your eyes!!
